China seems to be getting the coronavirus under control, but quickly increasing outbreaks in other countries like Iran, South Korea, and Italy are increasing fears of a pandemic.

Amazon Employee Based in Seattle Tests Positive

An Amazon worker in Seattle has tested positive for the coronavirus. 

The employee went home after feeling unwell on 25 February. And has remained out of the company’s offices ever since. As stated by a message from Amazon Human Resources, which was sent to most Amazon employees in the area and obtained by the Guardian. The employee is currently in separation.

All other employees who came in near contact with the individual have been notified, according to the message. 

Facebook is Giving Free Ads to the WHO for its Coronavirus Response. 

Mark Zuckerberg the Facebook founder said that social media will give the World Health Organization free advertising for its coronavirus response. Facebook will also pull out “false claims and conspiracy theories that have been flagged by leading global health organizations.” 

He also added that –  The researchers are using “aggregated and anonymized” Facebook data. Such as population density maps, to understand the spread of the virus.

NBA Postpones Start Of Basketball Africa League 

The National Basketball League has postponed the start of the Basketball Africa League’s inaugural season. This is due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus outbreak. – Amadou Gallo Fall the BAL president said in a statement Tuesday.

Gallo Fall said the verdict comes on the recommendation of the Senegalese government. BAL clue to schedule it on March 13 in Dakar, Senegal.

“I am disappointed we are not able to tipoff this historic league as scheduled but look forward to the highly-anticipated launch of the BAL at a later date,” Fall said in the statement.
