A Cal fire officials give an update on the Jones fire. It was burning in Nevada country on Monday, 17 August 2020. It is burning in a canyon on the South fork of the yuba rivers near the independence trail, the fire while prompted was a mandatory evacuation.
Nearly 4000 residents in the grass valley and Nevada city area have ordered to evacuate on Monday evening. The Jones fire started continuing to expand in the near hills Northwest of both towns.
Nevada country has officials issued evacuations warnings and 11600 resident areas, and the grass valley area also included.
On Monday, the country officials said that the two cities are out of the danger zone.so they are safe, and the wind whipped up the fire afternoon that has all settled down properly, but the resident’s area was on alert.
Name. Jones fire, Nevada, and the acres burned are 150 across.
There was an evacuation order. Evacuation warning to an immediate order for residents living on the north side of orange avenue, all the way to the feather River also included.
There are some safety measures.
If you see the smoke, call 911.
Be prepared for any emergency by that you can be safe for a fire to start near you.
If you hear any thunder sounds or see such type of lighting, plz immediately take the shelter indoors.

The evacuation orders are also in place for the North Side of Newton Road.
The county sets up the evacuation centers,” Pascale said. “They (Nevada County) provide cooling centers and evacuation centers with social distancing by that all the people’s have a proper distance just because of the COVID-19.
There is an Emergency Operations Center that is activated, and OES and public health people are out there, and they will help people in dangerous places.
