iOS 14 Announced With New Home Screen & Widgets

Apple
iOS 14 features a new app library that supports the smarter organization of apps across many screens. It features the much-rumored list view and makes it easier to find the app that you need at the right time. iOS 14 also features widgets on the home screen now, along with a redesigned Today view. The widgets can place anywhere on the home screen and easily replaced with other widgets.

Siri

It finally supports picture-in-picture video playback, like iPadOS video playback. You can keep any supported app’s video playing in the background by going to the home screen. Siri has a brand new interface. Gone is the full-screen user interface that covered the whole screen. Siri just shows a small icon at the bottom when used, and it also works with the content that is currently displaying on the screen. When using Siri, it shows results in widgets, that show on top of the screen.
A new translation app in iOS 14 works offline with 11 languages at launch. It works with voice input and even in conversations. Messages have tons of improvements to how group chats work. You can now reply to specific messages, use mentions to get someone’s attention, and notified only when someone mentions you. You can also set group chat photos or emojis.

The messages app also lets you pin conversations that show right on top of the app. Users can also retract sent messages. Apple has also added many new updates to allow new types of personalization for Memojis, including a face mask, new hairstyles, and much more.
