John Aniston, who had a long-running role on Days of Our Lives and was also the father of Jennifer Aniston, an actress from the Friends television series, reportedly passed away on November 11th. He was 89.
Aniston passed away on Friday, and Jennifer announced the tragedy on social media. In her note, she referred to him as “Sweet papa… John Anthony Aniston.” “You were among the most attractive people I’ve ever known, both on the inside and outside. I am very happy that you ascended into the sky pain-free and in peace.”
And on 11/11! Your timing was always perfect. That number now has an even deeper significance for me in the future. “I am so happy that you passed peacefully and painlessly into the heavens.”
Jennifer also displayed pictures of herself from her younger years with Aniston. “I’ll love you until the end of the earth, she declared. Make sure to stop by from time to time.”
On July 24, 1933, on the Greek island of Crete, Aniston was born. He joined the Navy after earning his degree from Pennsylvania State University, rising through the ranks to the position of lieutenant commander. He started his acting career in the 1960s, and by the 1970s, he had made a name for himself in the world of soap operas.
Aniston began playing Dr. Eric Richards on the daytime drama Days of Our Lives in 1970. He would later return to the soap opera in the 1980s and portray the role of Victor Kiriakis, which he would keep playing until 2022. He also appeared in episodes of The West Wing, Journeyman, and Search for Tomorrow on television.
Aniston received the Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award in June 2022 at a ceremony held at the Pasadena Civic Center in honor of his substantial achievements in the television industry.
Jennifer shocked everyone in attendance by paying tribute to her father and the work he had done despite the fact that he was unable to attend the celebration.
She reportedly said, “This is certainly a memorable occasion for me,” at that time. “It’s an opportunity to not only honor a true legend in the daytime television industry, but it’s also a chance to honor my father, a famous and well-known actor, for his lifetime accomplishments.”

His commitment to the same show for more than 30 years has earned him the respect and admiration of his fellow actors, as well as close friendships, and pleased millions of fans around the world, she continued, adding that “his career is practically the definition of a lifelong achievement.”
