Tom Hanks And Wife Rita Wilson Test Positive For Coronavirus

American actor Tom Hanks and his spouse Rita Wilson have tested positive for the coronavirus. The couple shared the news with followers via Instagram on Wednesday.

The Academy Award-winning star is currently on the Gold Coast in Queensland. He is there for shooting Baz Luhrmann’s untitled movie about Elvis Presley.

 Hanks posted on his Instagram post where he has 6.6 million followers. Even More, Hank and his wife are now in isolation until they recover. 

He said that “Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”

Tom Hanks continued

“Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that they must follow. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”

Tom Hanks is in Australia to shoot a film on the life of Elvis Presley

He’s performing the role of Presley’s manager, Colonel Tom Parker. The movie is directed by Baz Luhrmann, was set to start on Monday, but will likely be delayed. 

Hanks’s wife Rita Wilson is an American singer and actor.  She had been traveling to different locations in Australia and had posted photos from Sydney and Brisbane on Instagram.

As of this writing, there are now 118,381 confirm cases of coronavirus and 4,292 deaths. Even more, The US has 696 confirmed cases, while Australia has 122 as per WHO.
